The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to introduce a scholarship program for sports journalists in the country. The initiative aims to উন্নত the standard of sports journalism and enhance professionalism in the field.

The decision was taken at the fourth board meeting of the current BCB held on Saturday (April 4). The information was confirmed through an official press release issued by the board.

According to the statement, the scholarship program is part of BCB’s broader plan to support the development of sports media and improve professional standards among sports journalists.

Alongside this initiative, the board also approved several other measures during the meeting. The BCB plans to introduce pension schemes not only for journalists but also for players and match officials.

In addition, the board has decided to relaunch its annual awards program to recognize the contributions of cricketers and other stakeholders in Bangladesh cricket.

The meeting also approved the launch of two significant digital initiatives, aimed at further modernizing cricket administration in the country.
