BCB will not give PSL NOC to Mustafizur and Nahid Rana

The Bangladesh Cicket Board (BCB) has confirmed that pacer Mustafizur Rahman will not take part in the remainder of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 after his No Objection Certificate (NOC) was withdrawn due to fitness concerns.

Following the third ODI against New Zealand, the BCB medical team assessed Mustafizur’s condition and decided he will undergo an immediate scan. He is set to begin a rehabilitation programme under the board’s medical supervision, ruling him out of PSL commitments.

In the same announcement, the board also confirmed that fellow fast bowler Nahid Rana will not be granted an NOC for PSL 2026. The decision has been taken to ensure he gets sufficient preparation time ahead of Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan next month.

The move highlights BCB’s focus on player fitness and national commitments, prioritising long-term availability over franchise participation.
