Australia Lose Three Wickets for No Runs Against Bangladesh

Australia suffered a dramatic top-order collapse in the second ODI against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, losing three wickets without scoring a run.

After being beaten while chasing in the opening match of the series, Australia opted to bat first after winning the toss. However, Bangladesh's pace attack put the visitors under immediate pressure.

Taskin Ahmed struck in the very first over, dismissing Matt Short for a duck with the fourth ball of the innings. Short, who had also fallen to Taskin on the first ball of the previous match, was bowled after failing to make contact with the delivery.

Australia's troubles deepened in the second over when Mustafizur Rahman removed Cooper Connolly with the first ball, forcing an edge behind the wicket.

Mustafizur struck again on the final ball of the over, dismissing Alex Carey, who offered a catch to Najmul Hossain Shanto. At the end of two overs, Australia were reeling at 0 for 3, with all three wickets falling before a single run had been added to the scoreboard.

Both teams made one change to their playing XIs for the second ODI. Bangladesh brought back Soumya Sarkar in place of Saif Hassan, while Australia strengthened their pace-bowling attack after choosing to bat first.
