Bangladesh have included white-ball regular Towhid Hridoy in their squad for the one-off Test against Zimbabwe, while bowling all-rounder Rabiyul Haque has received his maiden call-up to the national Test team.
The 15-member squad was announced on Thursday (June 11) by the selection panel led by chief selector Habibul Bashar Sumon.
Although Hridoy is a familiar face in Bangladesh's ODI and T20I setup, this marks only his second inclusion in the Test squad. He was previously named in the squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka in 2024 as a replacement for Mushfiqur Rahim but did not make his debut.
Alongside debutant Rabiyul, pacers Syed Khaled Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud have returned to the Test squad. Vice-captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz has been rested, along with fast bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana and Shoriful Islam.
Bangladesh will play only one Test during the Zimbabwe tour. Najmul Hossain Shanto's side will travel to Zimbabwe after completing their home ODI series against Australia.
The lone Test match between the two teams is scheduled to begin on June 28 in Harare.
