Litton, Shanto and Hasan Return as Bangladesh Head to Asian Games

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the men's cricket event at the 20th Asian Games, with three changes from the squad that recently faced Zimbabwe.

Regular white-ball captain Litton Kumer Das has returned to lead the side, while Najmul Hossain Shanto and pacer Hasan Mahmud have also been recalled.

The squad was announced in a media release on Wednesday (September 2).

Litton missed the Zimbabwe series due to injury but returned to the national side for the Test series against Australia after recovering. However, the wicketkeeper-batter struggled for runs, being dismissed for ducks in all three of his innings.

Along with Litton, Test captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and pacer Hasan Mahmud have been brought back into the T20I squad. Meanwhile, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Nahid Rana and Abdul Gaffar Saklain have been left out.

Nahid Rana's omission had been expected, as the fast bowler has yet to fully recover from his injury.
