West Indies to Tour Bangladesh This Month for Two-Test Series

The West Indies cricket team will travel to Bangladesh this month for a two-match Test series, with one match scheduled in Dhaka and the other in Sylhet.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the itinerary for the Caribbean side’s tour, which will begin with their arrival in Dhaka on October 18.

The visitors will then play a three-day practice match at Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka from October 22 to 24. The match will start at 10am each day.

The first Test of the series will begin on October 28 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The second and final Test is scheduled to start on November 5 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium and will run until November 9.

The two Tests against the West Indies are part of Bangladesh’s ongoing World Test Championship campaign. The Tigers will play four more Tests in the current cycle—two away against South Africa in November and two at home against England in February 2027.

Bangladesh are currently fourth in the World Test Championship standings, while the West Indies sit eighth. A strong performance in the upcoming series would help Bangladesh strengthen their position in the championship table.
