Bangladesh to Tour Nepal for Three-Match T20I Series in March

Bangladesh will tour Nepal in March 2027 to play a three-match T20 International series, with all three matches scheduled to take place in Kathmandu.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has agreed to the proposed tour, with the matches set to be played on March 26, 28 and 30.

The series will be dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the recent devastating floods in Nepal. The BCB has expressed its sympathy to the victims and their families, saying the series will provide an opportunity for Bangladesh and Nepal to come together through cricket and convey a message of friendship and solidarity at a time of loss.

Discussions over the series began during a meeting between State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque and Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanshyam Bhandari.

Ambassador Bhandari later visited the BCB office and met with BCB President Tamim Iqbal. The proposed tour and broader cooperation between the two countries in cricket were discussed during the meeting.

The BCB also assured the Nepal Cricket Association of continued cooperation and support for the development of cricket in Nepal.

The areas of potential collaboration include exchanges of men’s and women’s teams, High Performance programmes, training and technical support, as well as other development initiatives aimed at benefiting players and cricket personnel from both countries.

The three-match T20I series in March is expected to further strengthen cricketing ties between Bangladesh and Nepal.
