Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have announced a 15-member squad for the one-off Test against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates, with Tawhid Hridoy earning a recall after hitting a triple century for Bangladesh A in South Africa.
The one-off Test between Bangladesh and Afghanistan will begin on October 9 in the UAE.
Hridoy made his Test debut earlier this year against Zimbabwe in June but struggled with the bat as Bangladesh suffered an innings-and-85-run defeat. He scored only three and nine runs in the two innings.
The right-hander, however, bounced back strongly while representing Bangladesh A in South Africa, where he scored a triple century.
Three additional players have been included as travelling reserves with the main squad. They are off-spinner Nayeem Hasan and pacers Mushfik Hasan and Iqbal Hossain Emon.
