Bangladesh played out a goalless draw against hosts Nepal in the first of their two international friendly matches. Despite both sides creating a few chances, neither team could find the back of the net as the match ended draw (0-0).
The game took place on Saturday (6 September) at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. Bangladesh looked the more dominant side in the first half, keeping the hosts under pressure. However, captain Jamal Bhuiyan and his teammates failed to capitalize on their opportunities.
In the second half, both teams increased their attacking intensity, but the outcome remained the same with no goals scored. Bangladesh coach Javier Cabrera introduced tactical changes in an attempt to break the deadlock, but the efforts fell short.

Notably, England-based Hamza Choudhury and Canada-based Shamit Som did not feature in the match. Jamal Bhuiyan led the side from the start, while goalkeeper Sujon Hossain stood between the posts in place of the injured Mitul Marma.
Bangladesh will play their second friendly against Nepal at the same venue on Tuesday (9 September).
The last time Bangladesh faced Nepal at the Dasharath Stadium was in September 2022, when they suffered a 3-1 defeat.
