FIFA World Cup Winners to Receive Historic First Championship Rings

FIFA has announced that the winners of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will receive bespoke championship rings, marking the first time in the history of a FIFA competition that such an honour will accompany the iconic World Cup trophy and gold medals.

Inspired by one of the most celebrated traditions in American sports, the championship rings will serve as a lasting symbol of football's greatest achievement. The initiative adds a new chapter to the legacy of the FIFA World Cup, with the inaugural rings set to be awarded following this Sunday's final at New York New Jersey Stadium.

A strictly limited collection of 2,026 individually numbered rings will be produced to commemorate the tournament. Of those, 30 rings will be presented to the members of the championship-winning team, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to supporters around the world as an Official Licensed Product.

Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup Trophy on one side, while the opposite side will be uniquely customised to represent the identity of the winning nation. Every ring will be individually numbered, custom-fitted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Immediately after the final, the captain and head coach of the victorious team will receive temporary championship rings during the celebrations. The full set of 30 rings will then be individually customised to ensure a perfect fit before being officially presented to the winners at a later ceremony.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 final will take place on Sunday, 19 July, with Spain and Argentina set to battle for football's biggest prize. Alongside lifting the famous trophy, the champions will also become the first team in FIFA history to receive the newly introduced championship rings, creating another unforgettable milestone in the tournament's rich history.
