Bangladesh Drawn with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in FIFA ASEAN Cup

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group A of the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 and will face hosts Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore in the tournament to be held in Indonesia.

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has confirmed the team’s fixture schedule, with Bangladesh set to begin their campaign against Malaysia on September 25 at 3:00pm Bangladesh time.

The men in red and green will then take on Singapore at the same time on September 28 before facing hosts Indonesia in their final group-stage match on October 1 at 6:30pm (Bangladesh time).

All three of Bangladesh’s matches will be played at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

The FIFA ASEAN Cup, being held for the first time, initially invited China, India and Hong Kong alongside 11 Southeast Asian nations. However, after India and China withdrew from the tournament, Bangladesh and Pakistan received invitations to participate.

Bangladesh accepted FIFA’s invitation, and the national team is currently preparing for the tournament with a 28-member preliminary squad under head coach Thomas Dooley.

Several foreign-based players, including Hamza Choudhury, Shamit Shome, Tariq Kazi, Zayyan Ahmed and Fahmidul Islam, are not currently in the training camp. However, they are expected to be included in the final squad and join the team before the tournament.
