Cristiano Ronaldo Leaves Portugal National Team Camp

Cristiano Ronaldo has left the Portugal national team camp, with the veteran forward confirming the decision in a post on social media.

Ronaldo’s departure comes amid reports of a dispute with Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus.

The Portugal captain said he decided to leave the training camp after the national team coach’s press conference and a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.

However, Ronaldo has not yet revealed the specific reason behind his decision. He said he would tell the Portuguese people the truth about his departure at the appropriate time.

“After the national team manager’s press conference and a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I made the decision to leave the national team training camp,” Ronaldo wrote.

He added: “I have always dedicated myself to the national team, so in due time I will tell all Portuguese people the truth about the reasons that motivated my departure from the national team.”

Ronaldo concluded by wishing Portugal and all of his teammates well.

“Now is the time to wish good luck to Portugal and to all my teammates, without exception,” he said.

Ronaldo’s decision to leave the camp has sparked fresh discussion around the Portugal national team, particularly following reports of tensions between the forward and coach Jorge Jesus.
