The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced the groups and full schedule for the Blind Baseball International Cup 2026, which will be held from September 30 to October 3 in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany, Italy.

Eight teams will compete in the third edition of the tournament, with the matches taking place at the Simone Piani Baseball Stadium. The teams have been divided into two groups, with the top two sides from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Defending champions Cuba have been placed in Group A alongside Czechia, Great Britain and the USA. Hosts Italy are in Group B with the Netherlands, Pakistan and Chinese Taipei.

The tournament will begin on Wednesday, September 30, with Great Britain facing Czechia at 9:00am local time. The opening day will also feature Netherlands vs Italy at 11:30am, Pakistan vs Chinese Taipei at 2:00pm and Cuba vs USA at 4:30pm.

The group-stage matches will continue on Thursday, October 1, before concluding on Friday, October 2. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the knockout stage.

The semi-finals and medal matches will be played on Saturday, October 3. The gold medal match is scheduled for 4:30pm, with the closing ceremony to follow 15 minutes after the final.

The 2026 edition will be the third Blind Baseball International Cup.

The inaugural tournament was held in Beek, Netherlands, in 2022, where hosts Italy defeated Great Britain in the final to win the six-team competition.

The tournament expanded to eight teams in 2024. Cuba claimed the title that year after defeating Italy in the final at Farnham Park near London, England.
