Bangladesh national cricket team's assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin has resigned. After the home series against Ireland, he is no longer working with the Bangladesh team.
On Wednesday (5 November), Mohammad Salahuddin confirmed his resignation to cricket-based media outlet Cricbuzz. When asked about his decision to resign, Salahuddin told the outlet, “Yes, I am resigning.”
Salahuddin had joined the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on 5 November last year as the assistant coach of the national team. The local coach had a contract with the BCB until the 2027 World Cup. However, after completing exactly one year, he decided to step down.
Meanwhile, even before Salahuddin’s resignation, another former cricketer Mohammad Ashraful was appointed as the batting coach of Bangladesh. However, it has been informed that Ashraful has been initially appointed for the Ireland series only.
