Brazil finished their two-match friendly series in Australia with a convincing 4-2 victory over the hosts in Brisbane on Tuesday (September 29).
The five-time world champions had drawn the opening match 1-1 but bounced back strongly in the second game to secure a four-goal victory.
Vanderson, Raphinha, Bruno Guimaraes and Vinicius Junior scored for Brazil, while Alessandro Circati and Connor Metcalfe were on target for Australia.
Brazil took the lead just three minutes into the match. Vanderson found the net with a diagonal finish from inside the box after receiving a pass from Gabriel Bontempo.
Australia responded in the 28th minute when Circati produced a superb flick from a corner to level the score at 1-1.
The hosts then turned the game around five minutes later. Metcalfe fired a powerful shot from just outside the box in the 33rd minute, beating Brazil goalkeeper Otavio to put Australia 2-1 ahead.
Brazil, however, restored parity just before half-time. Raphinha converted a penalty in the 44th minute to make it 2-2.
Brazil regained the lead in the 69th minute when Bruno Guimaraes finished from Vinicius Junior’s cutback to make it 3-2.
Vinicius then added Brazil’s fourth goal from the penalty spot in the 80th minute, sealing a 4-2 victory for the visitors.
The win saw Brazil end their Australia tour on a high after the opening 1-1 draw.
